Volunteers from Largs RNLI recently received a generous cheque from the town’s Co-op store for £450.
The store made the donation to members of the fundraising team thanks to money raised through their local community fund.
An RNLI spokesperson said: “Every time Co-op members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes to support community organisations and local causes.
“Largs RNLI were delighted to be selected as a recipient, because as a charity we rely on donations to allow us to continue saving lives at sea.”
