How to train a COP yourself using … the Internet!

The question of independent nataski your COP dog is not new. It’s no secret that many novice legashatniki dream to go this way with their dog on their own. After all, then there is something valuable, a barely perceptible sense of pride for yourself and your dog, a sense of unity with it. Such a strong emotion as from the first stand, never will experience, if you give your dog natascia. But there is one small problem: beginners don’t always know how. They are afraid to spoil their Pets, and therefore rely on the will of nataschikov, depriving themselves of the unique pleasure of working with their dog.

What if the desire to train yourself conflicts with the fear of spoiling the dog? The answer is simple-learn!

Learn to train a dog, learn to understand it, study the objects of nataski, factors that affect the work of the dog in the search, the sequence of actions in the field, etc., etc. And like the answer is simple, and the task is clear, but where to learn all this? Let’s figure it out together!

Where and how is information about a particular subject of study accumulated? In the minds of knowledgeable people. These people start writing books, articles, someone more advanced takes videos and puts them on the Internet. But the vast majority of this material describes rather how a COP dog should work. It describes the perfect picture, but there you will rarely find information on how to “draw” this picture. Someone takes a chance and thinks it out on their own, goes into the field with their young COP and starts working. Some work, some don’t. Well, if there is a more experienced friend who can tell you. And it’s good if this hint is correct. And if not? Then it turns out that the beginner will “dig deeper” into the problem situation, more and more fixing the possible error of the dog.

You can try to read the hunting forums, where the relevant sections are stormy battles and discussions about how to train the cops. But very often in the posts of forum “experts” viewed the usual trolls, dogs which don’t work. Such people can only give advice that they can’t even justify. The most worthy forum to date, in my opinion, was created by my graduates, which they called “The alphabet of nataski”. This is a platform where graduates of the courses “Azbuka nataski” and “Compass nataski” have gathered, and there are almost 150 of them already. Newcomers also communicate here, ask questions and get answers. This is a place where a friendly atmosphere, and where the ideas of proper hunting with a COP are promoted. Here, everyone loves their dogs and is happy to accept novice legashatnikov into their ranks, because they themselves were just recently the same.

Another possible way of learning is to collect information bit by bit from articles in magazines and on the Internet. If you come across an article that was written by a respected legashatnik, perhaps an expert, and you are hooked on something in it, then try to contact the author of the article. If you are lucky enough to find the right words, he will agree to tell you step-by-step steps in working with a dog on a paid or free basis. But if this article is signed by Vasya Pupkin, then I would think about whether to trust what is written in the article. You can write anything you want, as they say “paper will endure”. A decent selection of articles on training hunting dogs can be found on the site ohotuslugi.ru

A good source of knowledge is books, but there are almost no modern (and most importantly worthy) works on cops. Most modern books are harmful rather than useful. Here is and are born in the bowels of our forum projects on reissue classics. One of these books Is “training as a COP”, by Nikolai Zvorykin.

TV and video on the Internet. God forbid you to look at what they show, and even more so to apply it in life. Graduates of my courses “Compass nataski” and “ABC nataski” will decompose 99% of these videos into component parts, and tell you where and how the dog does not work correctly, the presenter, and what is wrong with the announcer behind the scenes. And most importantly, they understand how not to get into a similar situation. Do not believe everything that comes from blue screens, subject everything to analysis. In my training series on my YouTube channel, I encourage you to carefully analyze everything, even the information that I say. I’m not saying I’m right. But I always try to justify my point of view logically.

It’s a vicious circle. What to do if you want to train yourself? I have encountered almost the same problem in my time. My father was natascia and raised by the time the two Champions of the breed. But when I asked him questions about Natasha, he often couldn’t explain simple things to me. It wasn’t that he didn’t know it, he knew it, but he couldn’t explain it. Not always a good player becomes a good coach. Remember this when you listen to the advice of legashatnikov, whose dogs have achieved any field results. They are great, but can they teach?

Having passed my personal path of a nataschik, I once wondered how to build a training system for beginners, after which they could easily train their dogs? After a while, the training program “the Alphabet of nataski” was born. This is a full-time course, where legashatniki come with their dogs, and we study the theory, study in the fields, perform practical exercises that help to understand the whole system of working with a dog in the field and form the primary skills of the leader. Eight days of intensive training, after which novice legashatniki are not beginners at all. More than 70% of dogs leave the course as established cops (i.e. with a Shuttle, with a stand and without a chase). All owners who have completed the course have a complete understanding of what to do, how to do it, and in what order. And most importantly, they clearly know what can go wrong and how to deal with it. Geography of participants of my courses from St. Petersburg to Novosibirsk, they go for 500, 1000 and 2000 km. But I can’t accommodate everyone. And not all legaladvice can come, highlighting your work schedule 8-9 days. And when the number of requests to create a distance course went off the scale, I had the idea of the course “Compass nataski”.

Many are afraid of the idea of learning via the Internet. Part of it is from not knowing how and what will be there. Most people reject something new. Although the whole world has been receiving higher education remotely for a long time, operations are performed with the advice of experienced surgeons via the Internet when they are on the other side of the world. They help to create businesses, trainings, write books, and all this via the Internet…

I thought, why not? Having prescribed the program and thought through the methodological material, I launched the “nataski Compass”. And after the first stream, this course won a place in the hearts of novice legashatnikov. Reviews poured in. They had a coherent system of working with a COP dog, they learned the sequence of actions, they could see other people’s mistakes and their own when working with a dog in the field. Specially shot for the course” Compass nataski ” video material allowed you to see the nuances in the setting of the Shuttle in the field. It was a revolution in the training of legisation.

Of course, knowledge itself does not yet make a person a specialist, but if a person applies this knowledge, things will go much more effectively. “Nataski compass” is a tool, nothing more, but it is up to everyone to use this tool or not. You’re not going to scold a hammer for buying it, but you’re not hammering nails with it, are you? So it is here.

The main thing I want to convey to you is that you can train the COP yourself! You will succeed! The Gods don’t burn pots!

It doesn’t matter if you come to me or find other specialists. What matters is that you believe you can do it!
