I exchange a boar for a deer. Possible options…
The history of a very controversial experience of acclimatization of animals that are not characteristic of the country is very old. The last time it excited the public five years ago, when experts sharply opposed the idea of replacing the already traditional wild boars in our lands with American white-tailed deer. A new surge of interest was caused by the import of about three hundred heads of these ungulates to the Voronezh region and the accompanying meeting of hunting experts and biologists in the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Open and collimator hunting sights: a short course
Conventionally, hunting sights can be divided into two categories: purely mechanical devices and devices based on effects in optical glass – prisms and lenses. The first includes open and diopter sights, the second – collimator and optical sights. The latter, because of the huge species diversity, deserve separate consideration, only the main types of grids are a good dozen.

Collimator sights, despite the sufficient complexity of these devices, are related to open devices in the field of application, covering short shooting distances, in particular, on corral hunts. Continue reading
